Bednar The Book of Mormon begins by declaring that readers will read about the Lord's tender mercies (1 Nephi 1:20) and ends with an exhortation to remember God's mercies, to ponder them and ask God if they are true (Moroni 10:3-5). Why would the Book of Mormon be bookended with this message? What can we gain by knowing God is merciful?
